Youโ€™ll be picked up from your hotel in Moshi or Arusha and driven around the base of Kilimanjaro to the Rongai Gate, near the Kenyan border. Enjoy lunch before a gentle trek to Simba Camp, also known as First Cave Camp.

Ascend gradually through moorland as you pass Second Cave, a lava-formed natural shelter. The trail splits here โ€” the 5-day route continues to Third Cave Camp with scenic views of Mawenzi Peak and the summit in the distance. Distance: 21km total (6km up, 15km down)

At midnight, begin your final push to Uhuru Peak via Gilmanโ€™s Point (5,700m). This is the toughest stretchโ€”cold, dark, and steep. But reaching Uhuru Peak, the roof of Africa, is a moment you’ll never forget.

After summit photos, descend to Kibo Hut for lunch, then continue down to Horombo Hut for the night.
